PMP Pals are unique! We aren't another online "chat room!"

'Pals' Deon, Eldon & Merrily share smiles!
Here's how the PMP Pals’ Network
is different from online chat rooms,
message boards and forums!
Optimism!
Our publications, including our weekly newsletters, informative series of three handbooks, and our website (www.pmppals.org) feature “Pal Profiles” of our fellow patients who are living well, in spite of our diagnosis!
“Pals Celebrating Life!”, “Pals on the Go!” and “Pals Sharing Resources” are among the most popular articles in each issue of our weekly Newsletter!
Personal!
Our subscribing members have the opportunity to communicate with each other directly , and in resource groups, via email, telephone calls, personal visits, postal mail or web cam and SKYPE. We are real people that you can relate to!
We provide personally selected Pal Mentors to assist new patients in preparing for and recuperating from surgery and/or chemotherapy!
Inclusion!
Our membership roster includes people from all walks of life, from all corners of the world, between the ages of 19 and 90!
Response!
We provide quick and confidential response to English and Spanish language telephone and email inquiries from our subscribing members within 1 to 12 hours of receipt.
We respond to inquiries from one dozen other languages within 6 to 48 hours of receipt.
Your inquiry or request for assistance won’t get lost in the cyberspace of a “message board!”
Your electronic message won't appear or "pop up" in a search engine via an online "forum!"
Authenticity!
Our subscribing members do not hide behind pseudonyms.
“Pal” members are required to use our real names in all methods of communication.
Privacy!
We require that all participants in our programs and resource groups to follow HIPAA guidelines to ensure the privacy of our fellow “Pals.”
Respectful!
Our subscribing members don’t use slang or colloquialisms that denigrate our disease or the methods of treatment. We use appropriate medical terminology to promote respect and recognition of our disease.
As educated adults, addressing our disease, and its medical treatments, using accurate terminology, we are gaining the respect our disease deserves by the medical community and the public in general, and are promoting the acceptance of health insurance providers to pay for our medical care.
Slander and gossip about fellow patients and/or healthcare professionals is not allowed.
Soliciting of our member subscribers, for any purpose, is not allowed.
Specialty services!
The PMP Pals’ Network provides specialized resource programs to serve a wide variety of needs, including patients and their family caregivers, experiencing chemotherapy, gastrectomies, ostomies, as well as those seeking to participate within geographical areas, age groups (Young Singles, Young Families and Senior Pals.)
Original!
Although others have tried to copy or duplicate our program services, we are the original PMP Pals' Network serving our community with integrity!
We invite you to join us as a "Pal" member "Pal" today!
